According to an article in Woman's World magazine, the chirping of birds, a kitten's purr and other pet sounds are not just playful sounds, but can also relieve anxiety, speed recovery and prevent osteoporosis. The article further says that cats rarely get osteoporosis. Studies show the vibration of a cat's purr can improve bone density and speed healing of tissue. |
Studies also show that our heart rate slows and blood pressure lowers when we interact with dogs. When dogs are mellow they do a 'play pant' that's different from their 'exertion pant'. It sends a signal to other dogs that everything is okay.
It's amazing how pets can effect our health in a positive way. Why not think about adopting one today?
