LARP (Local Assistance Resurfacing Program)
The following roads are to be resurfaced under the LARP program, which is entirely funded by the Georgia Department of Transportation (DOT). The DOT normally begins work on the roads in the late summer, early fall and will oversee the resurfacing projects.

Funding for these road improvements is provided through the Georgia DOT's Local Assistance Road Program (LARP). LARP is a resurfacing program initiated in 1978 to help local governments preserve the integrity of their paved roads.
Each year, all Georgia cities and counties submit a priority list of roads or streets in their jurisdiction that need to be resurfaced. The Georgia DOT reviews each road and street submitted and develops a needs assessment and cost estimate. Based on the amount of money available in LARP each year, a final list of roads is compiled and approved by the DOT Commissioner for funding.
