The new Columbia County Library opened March 27, 2006. We are located behind the courthouse annex off of Ronald Reagan Dr.

Regular operating hours are:
Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, Friday & Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m

	The new library has a capacity of 95,000 adult books and 58,000 children's books.  We've added many new books, DVDs and other materials since we moved from Gibbs. Our easy RFID book security system also allows you to check out your own materials if you wish.
We have 12 computers upstairs for children and 30 downstairs for adults. Wireless internet access is also available for your laptop throughout the building.
	The children's program room features multiple sides done in wood and glass, a craft area and cork floor.  You may register your children for programs by calling the library at 706-863-1946 and choosing option 3.
The downstairs reading gallery  features a slate floor, comfortable seating and a beautiful view of the park and ampitheater.
	The Young Adult Reading Area is located downstairs and has periodicals and books designed for teen age readers.

Also located in the building are a 300-seat performing arts theater, meeting rooms and classrooms and Friends of the Library gift shop.
