MARRIAGE CEREMONIES

    Georgia law allows Magistrate Judges to perform marriage ceremonies within the State of Georgia. In order to arrange a marriage ceremony to be performed by a Magistrate Judge, the parties must first have a marriage license which may be obtained from the Probate Court. After the marriage license has been obtained, the parties will need to schedule a time for the ceremony by contacting the Clerk of Magistrate Court at (706) 868-3316.  Ceremonies are usually performed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
