The Rental Facilities and Venues department oversees the rental and general operations of multiple facilities within Columbia County.  Our facilities can accomodate most any type of event imagineable.  Each of the facilities is pictured below with specific information on location and types of amenities.

The Savannah Rapids Pavilion is a 25,000 sq. ft. meeting and banquet facility that overlooks the beautiful Savannah River from an 80 foot bluff.  This multi-purpose facility has 8 rooms ranging in size from 7,400 sq. ft. to a small conference room designed for board meetings for 12.  Whether you're planning a meeting for 40 or a wedding and reception for 500, this facility will make any  event a  success that your guests will love.  Boasting a beautiful panoramic view of the river and the Historic Augusta Canal Headgates, the Savannah Rapids Pavilion offers you a wonderful relaxing atmosphere for any type of event.

The latest addition to the rental facilities within the department is the Jabez Sanford Hardin Performing Arts Center.  This facility shares its space with the Columbia County Public Library and the Foot Notes Cafe.  With state of the art lighting and sound equipment, the performance theater will seat 296 and can even be used for  movies with digital surround sound.  The four adjacent rooms can be utilized for meetings, parties and as dressing rooms during performances.  The two center rooms have a moveable wall that can be folded away to combine and become a space able to accomodate up to 100 for a meeting or party.

The Columbia County Amphitheater is an outdoor performance stage situated overlooking a small pond and 1/3 mile walking track.  Located in Evans behind the new Columbia County Public Library, this is the perfect site for any type of event.  Tiered seating can accomodate up to 750 in folding chairs with an overflow area for another 300.  Anything from an Easter Sunrise Service to a battle of the bands is perfectly suited for this venue.

The Historic Canal Buildings are situated along the banks of the Augusta Canal and they date back as early as the 1880's.  Recently renovated, all three buildings can be used individually or as a package.  The Dance Pavilion overlooks the Dining Hall and barbecue pit as well as the beautiful Canal.  The Dance Pavilion is a perfect setting for that outdoor wedding or birthday party for 50-100 people. The Dining Hall is a screened facility with 8-9' picnic tables and a small prep area with running water.  The Barbecue Pit is adjacent to the Dining Hall and it offers you a window into history and the old "Pig Pickins".  Perfect for Family Reunions or Employee Appreciation days, the historical feel relaxes and soothes the weary.

The Eubank Blanchard Center is a stand alone center located in the Phinizy Community near Appling, Georgia.  This facility offers a commercial kitchen with ice machine, 6 burner range, refrigerator and freezer as well as lots of counter space.  The Eubank Blanchard Center is available for an amazingly low hourly rate of $30 per or a daily rate of $250.  The client is responsible for setting up their own tables and chairs and replacing them in the closet at the end of the event.  Basic sweeping and mopping are only necessary in the kitchen as well as removing all trash from the building.  The communtiy room offers you the feel of being in a ski lodge atmosphere because of the exposed cathedral ceiling and gas log fireplace.  It is the perfect place for anyone planning an event with a guest count of 50-75.                                                                                      Virtual Tour

The Amphitheater Picnic Pavilion is the most recent addition to
the rental facilities offered by Columbia County.  Perfect for a
toddler aged birthday party, this covered paviion has two picnic
tables and three benches available as well as an air conditioned restroom.  Situated between two playgrounds and a zero depth water feature, this site offers hours of fun in the sun for the little ones.  This area is first come first serve unless you wish to have exclusive access. For a private party, contact the Sales Office at:  706.868.3349 for rental rates and availability.
