In operation since 1973
Having been in operation since 1973, Reed Creek is the second oldest plant in the County behind Crawford Creek.
Currently, Reed Creek treats an average of 3 to 3.2 million gallons per day, but it is capable of treating 4.6 million gallons of waste water a day. For comparison, the ordinary household toilet discharges approximately 1 gallon of water per flush; therefore, each flush is responsible for about 1 gallon of daily flow for each waste water treatment plant.
Reed Creek is staffed by three operators and one head operator.
