The Property Acquisition Department is responsible for the orderly and timely acquisition of all properties, easements, and rights of way necessary to move forward the projects outlined by the Board of Commissioners. To achieve this responsibility, the Department encompasses plan review, appraisal, negotiations, and relocation assistance pursuant to the guidelines established by the Federal Highway Administration, State of Georgia, Columbia County, and Property Management when necessary.
