100+ Women Who Care of the CSRA is a group of women dedicated to our community. The group has one-hour meetings four times a year, and each member writes a $100 check to a charity selected by the group. The combined $10,000 impacts the local area, without time-consuming fundraising events and planning. Our mission is to provide for those in need in the Central Savannah River Area.

This organization is for you if:

You want to help those in need, but you don’t have time to volunteer.
You can commit to meeting one hour every three months.
You want 100% of your donations to support a local charity.
You want to combine your donation with others to create a powerful impact in the community.

Averys Angels Gastroschisis Foundation is a 501c(3) Non Profit Organization founded in 2009. We are a support group for Gastroschisis families in the CSRA, and nationwide as well as internationally. We raise awareness for this birth defect to promote further research and medical innovations to find a cause and a cure. Anyone (immediate family or not) affected by a case of Gastroschisis can find support within our group. We offer support through veterans moms and families and to expecting mothers. Care packages with the signature of the doctor handeling the case are sent to the families in hospitals to make their stay in the NICU as comfortable as possible. Donations are used to have doctors attend medical conferences to push for research, to reach out to doctors in and not in our immediate location, and provides the materials for the care packages and office supplies so we can print fliers for events.

ALL of our members including the CEO of this organization are all VOLUNTEERS!  We DO NOT take any of the donations for personal use!

In March 2009, Rotary International and the Dollywood Foundation announced an international partnership to promote early childhood reading. In September 2009, the Rotary Clubs in Richmond and Columbia Counties joined together to form the Greater Augusta Partnership for Literacy (GAPL).

Books from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library are mailed on a monthly basis to each registered child from birth until five years of age in Richmond and Columbia counties.

Parents, educators, and child development specialists in association with the Dollywood Foundation carefully select this 60-volume set of books.

The Merchants Association of Columbia County, a non-profit organization was established in 1962 and is made up of local merchants and business people who are volunteering to make our community a better place to live and do business.

The Merchants Association awards scholarships to each of the four Columbia County High Schools. The Association makes contributions to the following charities: Red Cross, Camp Rainbow, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Children’s Miracle Network, Easter Seals, Martinez-Evans Little League, Columbia County Cares, MCG Grandparents Program, Juvenile Diabetes, and Southeast Burn Foundation. The major project of the Merchants Association has been the annual Columbia County Fair, which runs for 10 days. It features rides, games, thrill shows, crafters and much more. The first fair was held more than four decades ago and has grown over the years to become one of the finest fairs held in East Georgia. In 1994, the merchants purchased property for a permanent Columbia County Fairgrounds on Columbia Road.

The Merchants Association also sponsors the Miss Columbia County Fair Pageant each fall. $1000 annually for scholarships has been given to the pageant winner and three runners-up. The winner goes on to compete in the annual Southeastern States Fair Queen pageant in Atlanta.

The fairgrounds and facilities are available for rent at a nominal fee to other non-profit organizations. To rent grounds please download rental agreement, fill out, and follow instructions.

The association also sponsors the annual Martinez-Evans Christmas parade held the first Sunday in December. It is a fun way to get your holidays off to a great start.

Wheels For Wishes believes that every child, no matter his or her health, deserves a chance to have a happy and fulfilling childhood. By donating your vehicle, we are able to raise funds to support local Make-A-Wish chapters, helping grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. A wish is an opportunity for a child to focus on something other than their medical routines, and be a kid again.  You might think of your vehicle as nothing more than a “junk car”, but to the “wish kids” of Make-A-Wish, your donation can give them a life-changing experience.
