Board Meetings:

The Columbia County Board of Elections meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 10:30am in the Board of Elections Office conference room, located at 500 Faircloth Drive, Building E, Evans, GA. Special Election-November 3, 2015

There will be a Special Election on November 3, 2015 to fill the unexpired term of County Commissioner District 3, Mack Taylor, who resigned.

Anyone desiring to be a candidate in this Special Election must file a Notice of Candidacy not earlier than Monday, August 31, 2015 at 9:00AM and not later than Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 12:00PM/Noon.  Anyone wishing to qualify as a candidate for the unexpired term as County Commissioner for District 3 of Columbia County, Georgia, may do so at the office of the Board of Elections, 500 Faircloth Drive, Building E, Evans, Georgia.  The qualifying fee is $195.00.

The last day to register to vote to be eligible to participate in this Special Election shall be Monday, October 5, 2015 at 5:00PM.

Absentee ballots may be obtained from the office of the Board of Elections of Columbia County, Georgia beginning Monday, October 12, 2015 through Friday, October 30, 2015, 8:00AM to 5:00PM. To receive an absentee ballot, a written request must be submitted to our office first.

Early voting will take place Monday, October 12, 2015 through Friday, October 30, 2015, 8:00AM to 5:00PM at the office of the Board of Elections of Columbia County, Georgia.

We accomplish this mission by providing excellent customer service to candidates and the public by answering questions regarding elected officials and election districts, election statistics, and other registration and election related matters.

The Board of Elections office was established for the purpose of registering eligible persons to vote and conducting elections. We conduct all elections for Columbia County, including the cities of Harlem and Grovetown.
