  Jason R. Troiano

Welcome to the site of the Magistrate Court of Columbia County, Georgia. I am Jason Troiano, and I am honored to serve as your Chief Magistrate Judge.

Columbia County Magistrate Court was created in 1983 as part of the Georgia Constitution and is one of 159 Magistrate Courts in the State.  The Court oversees many operations for the county, including the resolution of Civil Disputes, County Ordinance Violations, and the issuance of Criminal Arrest and Search Warrants.

My staff and I want to make your interaction with the Court as smooth and efficient as possible. I have included a link on the left where you will find directions to Magistrate Court, our hours of operation, as well as the best way to reach a staff member should you have any questions. The Court is prohibited by law from giving legal advice, but our staff will make every effort to answer your questions. There, you will also find useful information regarding the many functions of the Magistrate Court of Columbia County.

The citizens of this County have entrusted me to carry out the duties of Magistrate Court, and it is not a responsibility that I take for granted. If I can ever be of assistance to you or your family, please do not hesitate to let me know.

For attorneys: Hearing requests, requests for continuances and other procedural matters will not be considered without an Entry of Appearance filed with the court.
