This permit process was designed to provide a clear, straightforward process to obtain county approval for land disturbance.

An approved Land Disturbance Permit application is required for all projects in Columbia County.

Individuals desiring to conduct land disturbing activities can use the Land Disturbance Permit (LDP) table and supporting checklists to generate an application package based on the project details.

Submittal instructions:
• Permit applications for common developments and commercial projects should be submitted to Plan Review. See the LDP table for the required documents. Only complete packages will be accepted.
• Permit applications for new home construction, pools, additions, etc. can either be submitted to Building Standards or emailed to LDP@columbiacountyga.gov. See the LDP table for the required documents. Only complete packages will be accepted.
