Homeless Programs - Assisting persons who are homeless or in danger of becoming homeless and other Georgians with special needs is an important part of DCA's housing mission. In partnership with the Commissioners of the State Housing Trust Fund for the Homeless, DCA administers several programs to assist local housing and supportive service organizations with funds to prevent homelessness, shelter persons in need, provide transitional housing for those with obstacles to independent living, and provide permanent supportive housing to those who are disabled.
Georgia Department of Human Resources - Division of Family and Childeren Services is responsible for welfare and employment support, protecting children, foster care and other services to strengthen families.
