Columbia County Cares, Inc., referred to as the food pantry, is an ecumenical non-profit organization that provides temporary, emergency relief to the unemployed, the underemployed, the elderly on fixed income and single parents. No one with a legitimate need is refused help.

The food pantry is supported by some churches in Columbia County and some churches  that are near the border in Richmond County and also enjoys the support of some local schools, scouts, church groups and civic groups.

Columbia County Cares, Inc. operates under the Golden Harvest Food Bank (www.goldenharvest.org ) located in Augusta and is an internal Revenue Service 501 © (3) charity; incorporated in the State of Georgia.
