Environment Matters Lunch & Learn Series
2018 Environment Matters Lunch & Learn Series
Columbia County Environmental and Stormwater departments along with UGA Extension Columbia County Agricultural Agent, Tripp Williams, and Georgia Master Naturalist, Margaret Alligood, will host the next Environment Matters Lunch & Learn Wednesday, August 15th from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM at Columbia County Library, Meeting Room B (7022 Evans Town Center Boulevard, Evans).
Topics in August:
August will be the last 2018 session. Over 17 Columbia County Departments have contributed to the success of this program along with many civic minded organizations. At this final 2018 session the hosts will briefly review the various speakers and topics that have taken place in all the prior sessions. It is the perfect opportunity for new comers to attend and hear what this public education outreach program has to offer.
Our main goal at the County is to serve our citizens with PRIDE and to work together as one team. We will ask for Citizen’s and attendee’s feedback at this 2018 celebration session. As we close out and learn from the past sessions, we will immediately look forward to the future and actively start planning the next year 2019 program rollout.
County Agent, Tripp Williams will recap and summarize his insightful “Pollinators Are Essential to Our Ecosystem” presentation and answer any questions you have about your foliage. Single bee dwellings will be given as prizes to a few lucky recipients.
Come join us for this pleasant hour of sharing information & fellowship!
There is no cost to attend. We ask that you register for the session by calling the library at 706.863.1946 extension 4. Drop-ins will still be welcome.
Bring your own brown bag lunch is encouraged. Refreshments provided are first come first served basis.
