Car Seat Safety Program

Want to know how to properly install your car seat?

Columbia County Fire Rescue (CCFR) is excited to offer free car seat safety inspections to the public at Engine Company 6.  CCFR has six trained technicians that will teach you everything you need to know about car seat safety and installation.

Statistics show that 74% to 90% of child safety seats are installed incorrectly. Through the Child Passenger Safety Program, our Technicians put their knowledge to work through a variety of activities, including child safety seat checks where parents and caregivers receive education and hands-on assistance with the proper use of child restraint systems and safety belts.

If you would like to learn more about car seat safety and proper installation or schedule an appointment, please contact Engine Company 6. Contact information can be found below.
