Qualifying NOTICE OF 2026 QUALIFYING FEES

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of Columbia County, Georgia has set the qualifying fees for each County office to be filled in a General Primary or General Election to be held in 2026. 

The qualifying fee will be as follows:

Chairman of Board of Commissioners
$ 315.00

County Commission Districts 1 & 4

$195.00

Board of Education Districts 2 & 3

$255.00

Partisan Candidates will need to qualify and pay the fee with the party of their choice. Independent and Non-Partisan Candidates (for Board of Education) will need to qualify and pay the fee with the Columbia County Board of Elections. Qualifying will be conducted starting on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 9:00 AM through Friday March 6, 2026 (Closing at) 12:00 PM, noon.
